Welcome to Birregurra Hall - a venue with the best sound and acoustics in The Otways.
Birregurra Hall is an ideal venue for community and private functions including meetings, weddings, celebrations, fundraisers, live music, theatre, workshops, fitness classes and memorials. No political statements or events will be approved.
Recently the Hall has undergone some much needed renovation, landscaping and technical improvement as part of the Regional Arts Victoria Small Town Transformation project and the Australian Federal Government's Building Better Regions program.
The Hall is managed by a Colac Otway Shire appointed Section 86 Committee and is available for hire. All enquiries welcome.

Hire the Hall
Built in 1884 for meetings, court cases, education and entertainment etc, a Mechanics Institute and Public Library functioned here, with a Reading Room for daily newspapers. From the 1920s to the 1960s films were regularly shown; and community singing, dances, balls, concerts, euchre parties and flower shows were other popular social activities.
PLEASE NOTE: All Music events MUST book the ENTIRE FACILITY which provides the full use of the Hall.
The five separate areas for hire include:

Main Hall with a proscenium stage, dressing room, toilet facilities and heating/cooling. Seating capacity is 170

Supper Room, currently used for storage.

Seniors Room with access to outdoors (capacity 40)

Kitchen (can be used for commercial applications)

The Yards outdoors area with stage
